BlueChip Energy Registers as a Utility Company

Lake Mary, FL., February 15, 2010 – BlueChip Energy™(BCE), the premier provider of complete solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, government and utility applications, announced today that BlueChip™ Energy has registered and been approved as a Qualifying Facility (QF) by the United States Federal Government. As a self certifying QF, BlueChip Energy™ can produce and sell up to 80 Million Watts (80MegaWatts) of power it generates from the sun.

QFs were created by the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA). QFs have the right to sell energy capacity to a utility company at the utility’s cost or at an agreed upon rate. QFs also have the option to sell energy either “as-available” or as part of a legally enforceable obligation for energy over a specified term. Additional benefits include the right to purchase certain services from utilities and relief from certain regulatory burdens.

With this Qualifying Facilities registration and its turnkey solar energy solutions portfolio, BlueChip Energy™ is expanding its footprint and is poised to be a key player in the fast growing renewable energy field.

With Federal Government Renewable Energy Grants/Tax Credits and the State incentives, the cost of a Fusion™ 5 and Fusion™ 25 system for residential and light commercial applications has never been lower. Contact a BlueChip Energy™ residential or commercial energy consultant for details.
